This scheme on skills development based higher education is a part of college/university education-leading to Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc.) Degree with multiple exits such as Diploma/Advanced Diploma under the National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF).

The B.Voc. Programme is focused on universities providing undergraduate studies which would also incorporate specific job roles along with broad based general education. This would enable the graduates completing B.Voc. to make a meaningful participation in accelerating India‘s economy by gaining appropriate employment- becoming entrepreneurs and creating appropriate knowledge.

The vocational programmes at Devgad College in Health Care and Tourism & Hospitality from the academic year 2018-19 are judicious mix of skills and professional education related to the concerned industries and appropriate content of general education. Itis designed with the objective of equipping the students with requite set of practical and professional skills for the profession.

The duration of the B. Voc. Hospitality and Tourism and Health Care shall be three years consisting of sixsemesters. However, there is provision of exit points after successful completion of each year.Successful completion of first year will lead to Diploma while successful completion of second year will lead to Advanced Diploma.

The admission to B Voc. programme will be as per the rules and regulations of the University for admissions. The eligibility criteria for admission to this B. Voc. Programme shall be 10+2 in all streams from a recognized board. Reservation rules are applicable as per the Government of India and the state of Maharashtra.

The syllabus for the course is designed in accordance with the UGC standards and the same is credit based and focused on and suitable for the industry practice. Devagd College has received an overwhelming response to both the courses. We have signed MOUs with our industry partners and have appointed highly qualified faculty, inhouse as well as adjunct.
