      The Department of Rural Development offers an undergraduate programme leading to the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Rural Development. The programme focuses on understanding rural society, sustainable development, community participation, and socio-economic transformation at local, regional, and national levels.

      The postgraduate programme (M.A. in Rural Development) has been offered since 1993. The department plays a vital role in promoting rural awareness, sustainable development practices, and community engagement both academically and socially.

      The programme integrates rural economy, development planning, governance, and social issues to equip students with analytical skills, field-based knowledge, and practical approaches for rural advancement.
