M.Sc. In Environmental Science

What is an M.Sc. in Environmental Sciences? It is an advanced course of study that can lead to employment in the public or private sector. Students in this program can specialize in many different areas such as engineering, conservation, ecology, biology and chemistry. Generally speaking, the graduate will work in areas related to locating and protecting the earth’s resources. This can include predicting hazards and advising on issues related to regulatory compliance. Students can narrow their focus to areas of particular interest during the course of study.

 

Duration: 2 years (Four semesters)

Intake capacity : 10

The course consist of 4 papers each of 60 marks as follows:

Semester I :

  1. Ecology and Ecosystem
  2. Biodiversity
  3. Environmental and natural resources
  4. Environmental pollution

Semester II:

  1. Environmental monitoring and assessment
  2. Pollution control technology
  3. Green Technology
  4. Environmental acts, rules and regulation

 

Semester III:

  1. Advance pollution technology
  2. Instrumentation and biostatistics
  3. Environmental toxicology
  4. Industrial hygiene and chemical safety

Semester IV:

  1. Eco-technology
  2. Environmental biotechnology and nanotechnology
  3. Sustainable management
  4. Environmental management
