Shri S.H. Kelkar College popularly known as Devgad College, Sindhudurg is one of the leading higher education institutes in University of Mumbai region and Maharashtra state. Devgad College is a multifacility college offering undergraduate and post-graduate programmes in Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Business Finance and Commerce, Management Studies, Science and Vocational Studies.

Arts faculty comprises of six programmes in B.A. with special subject VIZ Economics, Marathi, English, History, Geography and Rural Development.

Commerce faculty offers two programmes namely B.Com. and B.Com. (Banking and Insurance). Department of Management Studies offers undergraduate programme BMS whereas under Vocational studies two programmes  are offered.

M.Com and M.A. (Rural Development) are two Postgraduate programmes offered in the college.

Science wing of the college is second in Sindhudurg district and first in offering Postgraduate Programmes. For UG, B.Sc. Chemistry, B.Sc. Botany, B.Sc. Physics and B.Sc. IT are the major programmes offered in the science wing of the college. Mathematics. Zoology are ancillary courses offered in B.Sc. programme.  

College also offers Post Graduate programmes in the college for last eighteen years. At present college runs M.Sc. (Organic Chemistry), M.Sc. (Analytical Chemistry) M.Sc. (Physics) and M.Sc. (Environmental Science) on self-financial basis.
