It is indeed a main aim of a determined people to create good bonding among the members of society with love, warmth and affection. To maintain and develop such bonding, one needs to mingle with the society and encourage the growth of social connections. Running our ‘Natyashakha’ is an attempt to develop the social bonding in Devgad. Not mere entertainment through ‘Natyashakh’ is our aim but to foster and cultivate good cultural atmosphere in Devgad is our prime motto. Our prime motto is also to provide good platform to the students of our college and to the Local artists.

To maintain and flourish cultural heritage of Devgad is also our aim.

Objectives of ‘Natyashakha’

1) To revive the ‘natya’ movement in Devgad.
2) To cultivate social obligation especially in Devgad through ‘Natyshakha’
3) To search out the hidden talent of selected college students who have interest in Art and to train them and develop their capabilities.
4) To provide platform to the local artist to flourish their knowledge of various Arts.
5) To cherish the folk Arts and literature in devgad.

रंगवैखरी-पर्व दुसरे’ मध्ये देवगड महाविद्यालयाची ‘फुगडी’ महाअंतिम फेरीसाठी पात्र राज्य मराठी विकास संस्थेने आयोजित केलेल्या ‘नव्या वाटा’ या विषयावरील ‘रंगवैखरी-पर्व दुसरे’ या राज्यस्तरीय आंतरमहाविद्यालयीन नाट्याविष्कार स्पर्धेच्या विभागीय अंतिम फेरीत श्री. स. ह. केळकर महाविद्यालयाचा ‘फुगडी’ हा नाट्याविष्कार महाअंतिम फेरीसाठी पात्र ठरला आहे. या निवडीबद्दल महाविद्यालयाला २५,०००/- चे बक्षीसही मिळाले. तसेच सर्वोत्कृष्ट लेखनासाठी ऋत्वीक धुरी व राजेंद्र बोडेकर, सर्वोकृष्ट अभिनयासाठी भावना कुलकर्णी, निवेदिता वाडेकर व अथर्व तेली यांची निवड झाली.		देवगड कॉलेजची 'फुगडी' विभागातही अव्वल 'लोकसत्ता लोकांकिका-2018' च्या प्राथमिक फेरीतील उत्कृष्ट सांघिक प्रदर्शनामुळे देवगड महाविद्यालयाच्या 'फुगडी' या एकांकिकेने विभागातही अव्वल स्थान पटकावल्याने राज्यस्तरीय अंतिम आठ संघांत निवड झाली. 'लोकसत्ता लोकांकिका’ राज्यस्तरिय आंतरमहाविद्यालयीन स्पर्धेत मुंबई, ठाणे, पुणे, औरंगाबाद, नागपूर, कोल्हापूर, रत्नागिरी, नाशिक अशा आठ विभागांमधून अव्वल संघाची राज्यस्तरीय फेरीसाठी निवड झाली. यामध्ये रत्नागिरी विभागातून देवगड कॉलेजने बाजी मारली.
